William (Bill) Swann, Jr, DO was named the Maryland Association of Osteopathic Physicians 2010 Physician of the year during the 2010 ROME Mid-Atlantic Meeting.
Dr. Swann currently serves as the Chief Primary Care Manager for the Warrior Transition Unit at Ft. Meade, Maryland. Recognized for his care of soldiers returning from war at Ft. Meade, Dr. Swann was also recognized for his volunteer work spanning 14 years serving the uninsured and underinsured through a mobile medical unit, Mission of Mercy, located in Maryland and Pennsylvania. A colleague said, “He [Dr. Swann] has to make many difficult medical care decisions, but does not compromise the well being of his soldiers. Bill is a wonderful role model to all of us at MAOPS.”
