Now is the Time to Join MAOP
Dear Fellow Osteopathic Physicians:
Please get involved! A lot of what we do in medicine is influenced by the people who pay the bills, the people who write the laws, and what our patients hear about medicine and physicians in the general media and from friends.
You don't need to go to all the meetings, but if you want to know where the important meetings are being held, and to have the opportunity to go yourself or have someone represent you, then you have to belong.
If you have never been a member of MAOP, we invite you to join us now at the special rate of $95 for your first year of membership. This is a $130 savings-but you must join by March 31 to take advantage of this offer.
Also, MAOP and MedChi are working together to make it easy for you to belong to both organizations. You can join the Maryland Association of Osteopathic Physicians and MedChi, the Maryland Medical Association, all at once-and receive a $100 discount by joining both. Now is the time to stand up, or at least support those who are standing up for you, and join both organizations.
MAOP continues its commitment to provide local, affordable CME credit in 2008. On February 27, 2008 MAOP hosted a membership dinner in Maple Lawn; on April 24, MAOP will hold a CME dinner; June 19-22 is MAOP's four-day annual summer conference in Ocean City (awarding at least 25 hours of AOA category 1-A credit); and October 18 will be the date of our 3rd annual fall mini-conference in Bethesda (awarding 4 or more hours of AOA category 1-A credit). And as usual, member savings for these CME functions more than offsets the cost of membership.
MAOP and MedChi are working hard for you and for the future of medicine in Maryland, but we need your support. If you are already a member, thank you for your past and continued membership. If you are not a member, now is the time to join.
Sincerely yours, Tyler Cymet, DO Vice
President, MAOP Board of Trustees, MedChi
